So this weekend was uneventful, got good news that my parents will be coming for Thanksgiving. This is one of my favorite holidays. I love the smell of a turkey cooking in the oven. Having my parents here will make it all that much more special. It is weird to say that I will feel somewhat homesick and miss my friends from Japan. This time of the year was a special time for getting everybody together and having food at our place or planning a trip. It is also a nice feeling knowing that we will be spending Christmas with family and friends.
It was nice to have Rene's friend Brett here for part of the weekend. Brett is a dentist in Japan, and was in the states for a class. He and Rene had a nice golf day, then we treated him to a good Mexican meal in town. The kids are back in school tomorrow. It has been a long three weeks of boredom complaints. Rene will head to Argentina on Saturday. I am jealous he gets to go to all these nice places without me. So far he enjoys his job here and I on the other hand continue to be unemployed. I will start looking for a job in January due to holiday travel and visitors. Time is once again flying by.
