Still Struggling

So yesterday I was just finishing up my run when I noticed some people gathered around a house across the street from where I live. It was apparent that the house was up for auction and the bidding process was about to begin. These houses were worth $300,000 dollars when they were first built in 2006. I stood to listen as the auctioneer began giving out bids. The bid started at $25,000 and the house sold at a cheap $126,000. Wow! I thought someone actually bought this nice property for a dirt cheap price of $126,000. This was a reminder of how bad the economy still is here in America. The buyer will probably make a nice profit on a sale, but the people who lose out are the homeowners on this street. Houses around here just are not selling. Pretty sad situation all around.
