Well here I am sitting at my laptop with half the stuff we own on its way to the states. I used to write about others PCSing every summer, and now it is us. We will be living out of our suitcases for the next few weeks. Three years here went by to so fast. The packers arrived yesterday to take our unaccompanied baggage, the rest of our stuff will be packed out tomorrow. This means we will spend one night on the floor until our borrowed furniture arrives on Friday. Preparation for this day has been exhausting mostly because of the fact that we procrastinated. I have decided to pretty much start fresh, new furniture for the kids and family room. After all, after several moves, your stuff tends to slowly fall apart. A nice family took our couches, and Larissa's bed. Our van will be junked, and possibly our car if we don't get an interested buyer soon. The cars two year JCI is up, so that does not help. Overall, the cars served their purpose and we did not spend big bucks on them. We have one more going away this Friday courtesy of the Japanese Nationals Rene works with. Otherwise, it should be smooth sailing from here on out.

Ronda, I want to thank you for doing such a superb job of chronicling your families' three-year adventure in Japan. The pictures and anecdotes you shared were better than a morning cup of coffee. Thank you so very much for being so generous with your most excellent blog. I shall miss it.
