Well, I am officially unemployed. Friday, May 28th was my last and final day of work. My co-workers and I had a wonderful Italian lunch at the brewery. The day was beautiful and perfect for an outing. As I expected, leaving work was harder than I thought it was going to be. I was sad and full of emotions. I loved my job and know I will never have another job such as the one here in Yokota. It was a pleasure to serve families who's husbands made the ultimate sacrafice of deployments to the desert. To them I offer a prayer and a heart felt thank you on this Memorial day weekend.
To my co-worker Ann who was a joy to work, I will miss her dearly. Ann and her husband are two of the nicest people I know. Jason often helped us as we bugged him almost daily with computer problems. Ann was always willing to offer a helping hand if ever I needed her for the kids. I know the office will be in great hands.
