The LifeGuard

So we survived week one of Rene being gone. This week was a challenge to say the least. Today, I am so proud of Renie for taking the initiative to sign up for a Lifesaving/Lifeguard Class. After two weeks of intense education and training at the University, he passed his skills and written test. He is now a Certified Lifeguard. I guess he takes after his grandpa who certified many lifeguards in his day including yours truly. His certification will be good for three years and he is hoping to be able to put it to use this summer. So congratulations Renie! Love you for being such a good boy. As we approach week two, it is off to a Princeton Review class for the SAT. Lately, it has been expensive to be the parents of Renie Saenz. The LifeGuard class, SAT Prep class, and now tickets and a Tux for the Prom. I am excited as any mom would be that he has asked a girl to the Prom. More on this to come later...............
