Boy how the kids are growing up. Renie is now a 9th grader and Larissa a 4th grader. Today like everyone else was our first day of school. It was a soggy day, rain, rain, rain. Renie will have a busy year with honors courses. Overall, we prayed for a good year.

Larrisa and Rene - make sure you do your homework everday and complete all your assignments. Desiree and Alex also started school yesterday (8/25/08) and so far good - Alex did not want me to walk him to his classroom, he said it was "embarassing".
Anyway looks like another Hurricane is out in the Carribean and a good chance it will enter the Gulf and some projections have it coming our way. If so it will be another week before landfall - hope it heads way South (Mexico) or up North( not sure Florida needs more rain - they just got over Fay).
We will be headed for San Antonio for the Holiday weekend - if the storm doesn't get here quicker. Anyway say hi to Atilano and Melba. Take care
